McWhorter FamilyDavid and Andrea McWhorter are both Native Phoenicians and have been married for 14 years and have 2 children. We plunged into the American dream of business ownership in January 2011 and purchased Vital Care Rehabilitation, LLC. Andrea has spent the last 3 years at Vital Care Rehabilitation as the clinical director. Our goal is to provide a positive, motivational, and healing environment for our patients and staff while growing Vital Care Rehabilitation, LLC to its optimal potential. While striving for success in our new business we also strive for maintaining balance in our lives between business and family.
AndreaAndrea McWhorter graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology with a minor in Exercise Science in 1998, and then proceeded to Northern Arizona University where she completed her Clinical Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2002. She has been providing quality outpatient orthopedic physical therapy in the West Valley for 9 years.
ClarkA. Clark Ruttinger, D.O. is the medical director for Vital Care Rehabilitation, L.L.C. Dr. Ruttinger graduated from medical school at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City Missouri in 1985 and finished his residency at Oklahoma State University college of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1990. He then practiced medicine in the US. Army serving in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Joint Endeavor, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Ruttinger has been caring for patients as a geriatric specialist in his own family practice established in 2001 in Sun City West, Arizona and now Surprise, Arizona. Dr. Ruttinger's role as the Medical Director of Vital Care Rehabilitation is to review patient files, consult, and assist the rehabilitation team including the physical therapist and licensed clinical social worker in providing optimal care and treatment plans.
Michelle Garza, PT, DPT, CLT (Certified Lymphedema Therapist)AMichelle is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care with the primary goal of maximizing patient functional outcomes. A native Phoenician, Michelle received her Doctoratein Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2004. She is a seasoned clinician with 11 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitataive settings, focusing primarily on adult/geriatric populations. Her clinical knowledge encompasses Lymphedema, Orthopedic Lesions, Post-Surgical Rehabilitation, Work/Industrial Injuries, Spinal Dysfunction, Balance/Gait Training and Functional Movement Patterns, with an interest in continued learning and the hands-on treatment approach. A certified Cliinical Instructor providing education to physical therapy students, Michelle enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling and working out.
TimothyA native to Arizona, Timothy Saul II has been working in the physical therapy field since 2007. After 3.5 years of working as a Physical Therapist Technician, Tim decided to go back to school for PTA and become more closely involved in the care and treatment of individuals looking to improve their quality of life. Tim is able to help patients achieve optimal results by utilizing his skills in physical therapy and his compassion for people.
Kacey Kline, PTA
Kacey Kline, another native Arizonan, is a Physical Therapist Assistant at VitalCare Rehabilitation. "I love what I do, and I truly enjoy the people that I work with. When you have a good team of providers, it makes the healing process a little easier to manage." Kacey and her husband Lee have been married since 2009 and have one little boy, Connor, that has been the light of their lives. Kacey started her journey in physical therapy as a patient herself and realized that she could work in the healthcare field to help people recover from surgeries, traumas, and other limiting factors while making the patient feel better and get back to the activities they were participating in before.
Kacey graduated from Gateway Community College's PTA program in 2014 and has held an active and good standing certification since then. She is continuing her education through Northern Arizona University to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with an emphasis in Physical Therapy Assisting and will graduate in August 2016. "Together with the Physical Therapist, I look at the functional things that you are limited in and work towards those goals and give you the education needed to continue with maintaining your goals at home, not just a series of meaningless exercises." She is an outgoing person, but diligent in her work to get you, the patient, feeling better faster.
